The National Cooperative Highway Research Program The National
Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) conducts research in acute problem
areas that affect highway planning, design, construction, operation, and roadway
maintenance nationwide. Research findings are published in the NCHRP Reports
and the Synthesis of Highway Practice reports. The reporting format
is designed specifically for transportation administrators and practicing engineers.
In addition, to promote awareness and use of the research findings, the NCHRP
produces Research Results Digests and Legal Research Digests.
