used to identify and evaluate a potential highway safety hazard or trouble spot.
The type of data available in your community will depend on the record keeping
practices of local and state agencies. Ideally, at least three years of data should
be examined. Key data include
Accident records Complaint files Maintenance
records
Other types of data may also be available from state and
local agencies including
Enforcement records (traffic citation
files)
Roadway photologs or videologs
Construction prints
Traffic
control device inventories
